Crew Info:
La Brisa: Captain Rey Winkler has been with Pisces for 18 years and speaks English. His friendly attitude and fishing prowess have endeared him to many of our clients. His deckhand, Rosendo, has been with the fleet for 5 years but recently joined this boat. They make a great team and work well together to get you to the fish. Rey’s biggest fish to date was a huge blue marlin, estimated at 800 lbs, released February of 2001. Rey also has a record striped marlin catch for Cabo - a 289-lb specimen caught in 1987. These fish rarely go over 200 lbs in this area.
Ruthless: Captain Leon Camacho is the veteran of the fleet, being with Pisces since its conception 20 years ago in La Paz; he is a light tackle expert. Leon speaks some English. His personality is rather quiet until he gets to know you, but he is a very experienced fisherman. He skippered the boat while angler Terry Fahey from Florida landed a world record for blue marlin on 8-lb test line. Deckhand Adrian (Chino) speaks English well and is very friendly, with a wry sense of humor and he has several years fishing experience. Winner of the Billfish Foundation award for releasing most striped marlin worldwide in 1989.
Rebecca: Captain J.R. (Jose Ramon Alucano) is thoroughly trained in all aspects of seamanship and fishing. He is already proving himself as a captain with plenty of catches to his credit. J.R. speaks English well and is a lot of fun, but takes his job seriously. Deckhand Salvador is very friendly and keeps the boat in top shape.
Tracy Ann: Captain Julio Castro has been with Pisces for 3 years and speaks English well. He has recently taken on the post of captain aboard this vessel. He and his deckhand, Edgar, are very dedicated fishermen and go after fish aggressively. Julio is pleasant and is a lot of fun. Edgar is a top-notch deckhand. Julio’s biggest fish was a 752 lb blue marlin, caught while he was partnered with Leon Camacho (Ruthless). Julio was the winner of the Billfish Foundation Award for releasing the most striped marlin worldwide in 2001, 2002, 2003 & 2004.
